St. Ignace 2025: The Event Guide

As winter tightens its frozen grip on northern Michigan, it’s so tempting to daydream about the warm summer days ahead. Just imagine — the Straits in summer, breezes coming off the lake, waterfront festivals …taking in all those gorgeous views! One thing’s for certain, though: when winter begins to feel like it will never end, that’s the best time to start planning your 2025 getaway to St.Ignace.

Mark Your Calendars

Jeep the Yoop – May 9-10

This is an exciting one to kick off the warm season — Jeep the Yoop, a celebration of both the iconic vehicle and of the Upper Peninsula itself. Although there will be no bridge crossing this year due to construction, you will have the amazing opportunity to join fellow Jeeple on designated roads that will definitely make your tires spin! Fun, right? Just make sure to register by April 28, 2025.

Native American Festival – June 6–8, 2025

Bronco the Mac – June 6-7, 2025

Ever see a bunch of Broncos galloping across the Mackinac Bridge? Bronco the Mac presents a rare chance to do just that, and even to participate — if you happen to drive a Ford Bronco. Be here on the weekend of June 6 to witness both classic and custom models, all gathered in St.Ignace. There will even be a super-fun lighted parade on Saturday night. Register by May 23, 2025 to guarantee your spot in the Bronco Brigade.

St. Ignace Car Show Weekend – June 27–30, 2025

Classic cars, muscle cars, and everything in between—this is the premier car show in the Midwest. St. Ignace’s downtown streets will be transformed into an open-air car museum, complete with parades, live music, and all sorts of automotive history.

Mini on the Mac – August 5, 2025

Here’s a chance to be part of a world record — in 2025, Mini on the Mac hopes to break the record for the world’s largest parade of MINI cars. Even if they don’t succeed, MINI lovers will gather for a parade across the Mackinac Bridge. We’re talking hundreds of customized MINIs cruising over the span that connects Michigan’s peninsulas, a spectacle not to be missed!

St. Ignace Heritage Festival – August 8-9, 2025

This is a festival to celebrate St. Ignace’s history, and will take place on the grounds of the Museum of Ojibwa Culture. You can expect great music, colonial cosplay, fascinating presentations, and all the food you could possibly eat. If you’re into history (or just looking for a good time), this one’s a no-brainer!

Rendezvous at the Straits Powwow – Sept. 22-23, 2025

Annual Labor Day Bridge Walk – September 1, 2025

Here’s a chance to walk five miles across one of the world’s most famous bridges. The Annual Labor Day Bridge Walk is a cherished tradition in St. Ignace where tens of thousands walk together across the Mackinac Bridge, from one peninsula to the other. It doesn’t get more “Michigan” than that!

Antique Tractor Crossing – September 7, 2025

The Antique Tractor Crossing is open to tractors that are 40 years old or older. This year, the parade will begin in Mackinaw City, cross the Mackinac Bridge together, roll through downtown St. Ignace, and wrap up with more festivities (and prizes!) at the Little Bear Arena.
