Rendezvous At The Straits Powwow and Indigenous Art Show

August 28-30, 2026

Join us for the Rendezvous at the Straits Powwow & Indigenous Art Show, a welcoming community celebration open to all, with admission by donation.

Held on the grounds of the Museum of Ojibwa Culture and the south lawn of Little Bear East Arena in St. Ignace, this authentic Native American gathering features traditional dancing, drumming, and singing, along with vendor demonstrations, handcrafted arts and crafts, and Native American cuisine. The event provides an opportunity to experience Indigenous culture, traditions, and community in a family-friendly, alcohol-free, and drug-free environment.

Alongside the powwow, visitors can explore the Indigenous Art Show, featuring works by Indigenous artists from Northern Michigan and beyond. The exhibit highlights a variety of artistic styles, cultural perspectives, and creative traditions while encouraging cultural understanding and meaningful connections through art.
