What to Know About the Social District
The St. Ignace Social District allows adults (21+) to carry alcoholic drinks, purchased from participating bars and restaurants outside and into the fresh lakeshore air. That means you don’t have to settle for just one spot—grab your favorite craft beer, local cider, wine, or cocktail and then explore the great downtown parks and beautiful waterfront that are all located in the social district.
Just stay within the clearly marked boundaries—stretching from American Legion Park to Kiwanis Beach Park—and keep the good times rolling as you wander, watch, and taste everything downtown St. Ignace has to offer.

How It Works
- Stop by a participating venue (look for the signs!).
- Order your favorite adult beverage in a designated Social District cup.
- Take it with you as you walk, relax, and enjoy the downtown waterfront.
- Keep the drink outdoors and within the district. Some businesses may allow you inside with your cup—just check first!
