Snowshoe in St. Ignace

St. Ignace offers several scenic places to snowshoe through the Upper Peninsula winter. Local and nearby trails wind through forest, along the Lake Huron shoreline and through areas that are easy to reach from town.

Snowshoeing options include trails at Straits State Park, Gros Cap, Cut River and other wooded areas around the eastern Upper Peninsula. Conditions vary throughout the season, but fresh snow can turn familiar hiking trails into quiet winter routes with views of the shoreline, woods and surrounding landscape.
