At the Straits State Park, there’s plenty to do besides camp and gaze at the exquisite Straits of Mackinac. Inside, there’s a beautiful park with platform overlooking Mackinac Bridge along with the Father Marquette Memorial. Take the kids to the playground, hike some of the trails, fish, and, of course, swim at the Straits beach.
Be sure to request which of the two levels of the state park fits your style of camping the best: the upper has larger sites, making it perfect for the bigger rigs, while the lower level has great views and is closer to the beach.
