Shepler’s Ferry offers quick and reliable trips, with seasonal departures from St. Ignace to Mackinac Island taking just around 16 minutes. Shepler’s parking and loading docks are conveniently located at 601 State Street in St.Ignace.

Throughout the summer, additional Shepler’s offerings include lighthouse cruises, night sky excursions, a 4th of July firework cruise, and more. Additionally, private charters are available for a customized experience.

Arnold Transit Company in St.Ignace: Making Memories on the Straits of Mackinac

Arnold Transit Company has been giving ferry rides between St. Ignace and Mackinac Island since 1878! Whether you’re visiting in the spring, summer, fall, or winter, Arnold Transit provides a smooth trip across the Straits. Winter travel is available as long as weather and ice conditions permit.

In St. Ignace, passengers can board at either the Original Arnold Transit Dock #1 (99 N. State Street), or at the main dock (587 N.State Street). Once on Mackinac Island, the tradition of excellence continues on the ride back to St. Ignace.
