Silver Mountain Hike & Bike Trail

Just west of St. Ignace, the Silver Mountain Hike & Bike Trail winds through forested hills and exposed dolomite bedrock, offering a fun and scenic outdoor loop designed for both mountain bikers and hikers. Built by the professional trail team at Rock Solid, the route combines flow-style riding features—including bermed corners and rock elements—with quiet wooded sections and open views of nearby lakes.

In winter, the trail is groomed weekly for fat-tire biking and snowshoeing, making it a true four-season destination. With a short loop, gentle climbs, and rolling terrain, it’s perfect for beginners, families, or anyone seeking an adventure close to town.

Disc Golf Course:

Next to the mountain biking and hiking loop lies a 24‑hole disc golf course built into the ski‑hill slopes. Designed for all skill levels but rated “hard” for its elevation and technical play, the course stretches approximately 2.6 miles. Highlights include a thrilling +600 ft downhill par‑3 and a mix of wooded shots and open fairways. Tee pads are rustic, navigation relies on newer signage, and games typically take 2–4 hours. The facility is free, dog-friendly (leashed), and offers portable restrooms at the trailhead.
