Indian Village

Indian Village Gift Shop is one of St. Ignace’s most recognizable roadside attractions. Known for its neon and wooden teepee displays and its large souvenir warehouse, the shop has long been part of the classic travel experience along North State Street. The current building, constructed in 1977, was designed to resemble the original 1927 landmark that stood on the site for decades.

The exterior of the building is faced with cedar bark, while the interior features birch bark walls decorated with pictographs depicting arrows, animals, canoes, and traditional headdresses. Inside, visitors will find a wide selection of gifts, shirts, and souvenirs that celebrate the spirit of the Upper Peninsula and the Straits of Mackinac.
