The Rendezvous is a family-friendly\, alcohol- and drug-free event sponsored by the St. Ignace Events Committee\, the Sault Ste. Marie Tribe of Chippewa Indians\, and Kewadin Casinos. \nAlongside the powwow\, explore the Indigenous Art Show\, showcasing culturally significant works from local Indigenous artists and creators from across the region and beyond. These exhibits and workshops are designed to build understanding and strengthen communication between Indigenous communities and event attendees—fostering meaningful connections and lifelong friendships through art and culture. \nIndigenous Art Show Northern Michigan Calendar of Events (aside from the Powwow): \nJuly 13th \nThe city of St. Ignace – Muralism Workshop. Restoration & Creation. This event takes place within the Social District\, allowing attendees to purchase a beverage from participating downtown businesses and enjoy it responsibly during the show. \nConcerts run from 7:00 to 8:30 PM.Held daily in July and August\, and through the first week of September\, ending on Sunday of Labor Day weekend. \nBring a chair\, settle in by the bay\, and enjoy live music all summer long.
